Introduction

In these reflections, we explore the inner patterns that quietly shape how we think, feel, and move through the world, through the lens of Jungian psychology, holistic well-being, and self-awareness.

Guided Session One: The Inner Critic as a Misguided Protector

Have you ever noticed how quickly your mind can turn against you after a small mistake?

Maybe you said something awkward in a conversation. Maybe a project didn’t go the way you hoped. Maybe you forgot something that felt important.

And almost immediately, a voice appears.

It questions your competence.

It reminds you of what you should have done differently.

It seems convinced that if you had simply tried harder, thought faster, or been more careful, the outcome would have been better.

Most of us recognize this voice easily. We call it the inner critic.

But from a Jungian perspective, that voice didn’t appear out of nowhere.

It developed for a reason.
